Tuesday's Update

I know I can get forgiveness if I start the blog with a picture of Carl.

****Go over to Tina's blog, Farmstead Studio, to find out why the blog didn't get done yesterday afternoon!!!!    And, with the winter weather that is expected, I have been busy getting orders in the mail.

So....this is what happened yesterday in the studio at the Appalachian Arts Craft Center:

We welcomed two new students:  Molly is from Walland, and she's probably seeing some snow already in her neck of the woods.
Sharon lives here in Oak Ridge (no snow, yet!)
Carol was kept busy getting them started.

One of the great things about our group is that we have folks in all stages of their weaving journey.  You can see Jocelyn chatting with Molly.

Marie chatted with Sharon about her weaving adventures.

And, there's lots of fiber goodness going on all over the studio.
Ann took some time out from her weft faced rugs on the rocker loom to choose 8/4 cotton colors for her throws that are going on her loom at home.

More fiber goodness with the 8/2 that Carol picked up at a stash sale.

Lots of threading going on, also!
Carl got his warp threaded through the heddles and tied on the back bar....we'll wind that warp on next Tuesday!
Tina was threading the heddles on the little Macomber while Betsy threaded another warp on the LeClerc.   (This is the first time for Betsy following a threading draft!!!!)

And, here's our "Ladies" all in a row!!!!
  Just weavin' away............

Every direction you look in, there's just lots of weaving activity....it's a weaver's delight!!!
I hope you're having a fiber rich day where you are....and STAY WARM!

Happy Weaving!
LouAnn

I sure wish I lived closer!!!! I'd find a way to get every Tuesday off!!!! A heartfelt thanks to all of you Tuesday Weavers for sharing tales of your wonderful studio with us. Makes me wish we could start a group like that where I'm from (NE IN). Maybe someday....I love each and every one of your posts. Best wishes to all of you. Laurie
