Sunshiny Day

What a difference a week makes!  Although we are now in "blackberry winter," the sunshine makes the days so pleasant!

Cheryl finished weaving her first warp, and now comes the proud moment to cut it off the loom!

Now, she gets to learn about "repair" procedures!  Carol is showing Cheryl how to needle weave a spot that has a mistake.  This is a skill that will come in handy from time to time!

  Another skill???  Adding more heddles!

Shirley and Marilyn needed to add some heddles to this shaft for the pattern they are planning.

  Tricky little things, aren't they!!!

Liz is weaving the scarf that Bonnie had wound.  The black weft makes the pattern pop on this gold warp.

Patty has done a fantastic job adding the stripes to this dyed warp.  I know that she's ready to get started!

Jocelyn was with us this morning working on her brown warp.

Tina is almost finished threading, and she's really wanting to start weaving this pattern!  The bumberet is a new structure for her!

Betsy will be using this space dyed warp to weave fabric for more bowl cozies.

Ah-ha!  A meeting of the minds!  How fun to take a minute and catch up with friends!  Marie, Sharon, Linda and I took the time to chat.

Linda is using some brown crochet thread as weft in this run of towels.  I'm looking forward to see what happens when it is wet finished....will it make a difference?

Carol was kept busy helping her students, Victoria and Cheryl.  There are so many questions and so much to learn....but, isn't it great fun!!!

Lunch outside in the sunshine was amazing!  Pearl joined us and gave an update on the new annex.  It's looking like it will be awhile, but we are on the way!

Peggy is busy writing a grant for her husband's business, so she couldn't join us.  Maybe next week.....

I bet you think Charlotte is knitting....but, she's working on un-tangling a hank of thread.   Charlotte is so great at using up bits and pieces of yarn and thread...none can be wasted!

An update on Laura...she and her husband, Patrick, have made it to Florence, AL, and it looks like they are having a grand ole time!

Enjoy the sunshine &

Happy Weaving!

LouAnn
