From Chaos to Order
Pat is dressing the Barn Frame loom from front to back, meaning that she went through the reed first then through the shafts and finally winding onto the back beam. There is something about it that brings great contentment to me, from chaos into order.
Betsy is going over the top of her loom to wind on her new warp.
There are a couple of warps going on the looms as well, I know that the second one is Cathy's. Cathy's sister Nikki has a warp going on a loom as well but I missed getting a picture of it today.
Linda is continuing her placemats in rust and blue, and Laura is finishing this color combination on the lawn chair towels and she has picked two new colors.
Alice is at it again! She is making more lanyards for her fellow weavers on her Inkle loom. Irene is back with us and is continuing her work on weft faced fabric for bags.
Liz has a baby blanket on the loom now, she took her overshot project off last week and washed and hemmed it for us to see today. It is stunning, she used a different color than the warp for the Tabby weft. All three of the projects in the last photo are from the same weft, be sure to biggify it to see the detail!
Guess what! It is time once again for Show and Tell! I did put a patch on my dress from last week, using inkle bands sewn together. I also patched a second dress (the one I am wearing!) that had been chewed by a goat, I hadn't worn that dress in quite awhile, so these two mended dresses are part of the "Unfinished Business Challenge"!!!
Liz is modeling a top that Laura is still working on, and Charlotte came by to show us a new project she had finished at home!
Mark brought in some more of his pint sized ice cream cozies. He is experimenting with different fabrics and batting before he starts to use his handwoven cloth.
That is all that I have for you today. I can't promise a post next week as I will be out of town, but I will see you in a couple of weeks, Tina, for all!
