Sometimes It Seems Like........

.... a three ring circus!!!!

There are so many things going on in the Studio on any given Tuesday!  Since Carol has scheduled a Dye Day in November, she wants some yarn dyed for weft for some of our painted shawl and scarf warps.  So, out came the skein winder.....it did NOT want to be attached to the counter, though!

Yes....that's bamboo yarn on the floor and tools at the ready!  It's good thing we have folks that love to solve mechanical problems!  Those skeins WILL get wound!

Our students are hard at work on their looms.  Lou Ann has started hemstitching, while Laura and Katelyn are getting close to finishing their warps.
At the end of the table, Margi is showing Ms. Ila her Christmas ornaments that she completed using pieces of woven fabric.

It wasn't long until Katelyn was ready to cut off that first warp.  I think she's pleased...don't you?  She's already planning her next warp....placemats!
Bonnie was hemstitching when I went back to check on the back row.  She's weaving this shawl in a twill pattern.   Patty is staying busy with her placemats.

Carl finished another placemat today, and wove the hem for the next one.  He just keeps pumping them out on the loom.  (We may need to cut more weft before long!)
It looks like we caught Liz on the phone, but she got some weaving time in today, too.  Jocelyn and Betsy are loving the new lights back in the corner of the room.  What a great improvement!

Oh, Pearl!  What ARE you doing????   It must be time to tie up the treadles!

Happy Weaving!
LouAnn
