This is what the annex looked like on Tuesday, the gray part is the old annex and the unfinished siding is the new Weavers addition. They more than doubled our storage space!
This morning, at around 10am we started arriving, we had to wait just a little while for the temps to rise to 50 F . (Lou Ann, Lanny and I did a little organizing inside while we were waiting.) By the time the temp was just right, Carol, Ann and Alan were there.
Our goal was to get as much done as we could. I really wanted to get it all at least primed!
We divided into teams of rollers and brushers!
Carol, is on what we call the 4th side.
Ann and I on the first side.
I have to tell you that I had the best team possible! We all just kept going until about 12:30pm when we stopped to go to lunch nearby. We all needed a little rest and some food and drink!
Here is what it looked like when we quit for lunch. (Or close to it anyway, I think Alan had finished putting the siding up on the first picture!)
We had a great lunch and headed back to see what we could finish. The temps were holding for us, so we finished the primer we had on hand. While we were waiting for Alan to get back, I ventured to suggest that we open the paint and start working with that on the sides that we knew were ready. I am not at all sure that the others thought it a good idea, but since I was the "crew chief", that is what we did!
Well, to all of our surprise, we were able to get 3 sides primed and painted, and the 4th side is primed and waiting for it's coat of paint. I will be watching the weather tonight to see when we can get that done. Here is a few pictures of how it looks now.
Front and 1st side.
We were all gone by 4:30pm, and I expect there to be many hot baths and ibuprofen tablets taken this evening. I know that I am going to partake for sure.
It was a delightfully fun day and we all felt a huge sense of accomplishment in what we had managed. Now if the weather will cooperate just one more day....
Welcome home Tuesday Weavers Stash, welcome home!
Until next time, Happy Weaving, Tina

I'll probably turn in early tonight!!! But, I'm thinking some time in the whirlpool would feel mighty nice, too! It sure will be nice to get our stash STASHED!!!!
Great post! Thanks for sharing the process!
A long but very good day. Tina - I do love the long shadow picture of us at the end of the day. Long shower, two Aleve and now it is bed time.

Good work, guys! I love that we have such a grand entrance from which to view our stash!
It looks great! I wish I could have been there to help. This is going to be so wonderful for all of us!
What a great job. To finish the paint job and put our stash of stuff in. How nice that will be.
What a wonderful building addition! It's so nice to see a group work together and get things done. Cool!
