Heat Wave!
We have gone from 6F and snow just a couple of weeks ago to 70F and so sunny that we had to open the Studio door just to breath!!! Dana was with us once again this week, (she will be back for good after next week!) she is winding the Hand dyed bamboo weft so that they will be ready for the warps. They are so beautiful!
Kris had finished the project on her loom so she is cutting a the end of the warp and pulling the fabric off of the fabric beam.
Mark is continuing with his spring placemats.
Patty is starting a new project, I think I like it! Of course I couldn't find Patty to get a picture! Alice started weaving on her project today as well!
Betsy is well on her way on her new project!
Hey folks it is time for Show and Tell! Barbara brought in some yarn that she has collected during her travels and some that has been sent to her. She talked about the project she was planning and one of the girls said that it will be her Travelling project!
Betsy wove some fabric at home to make a wrap, part of the warp has a fuzzy yarn and half does not. Betsy will use this as a design element! Then Dana told us that despite the fact that she had told Carol that she would rather lick the floor than to hand hem her towels, She found herself in a place that it was the only way to get those towels hemmed! Dana found it relaxing!!!
Mark brought in his latest rug so cool!
Last but not least we were able to help Arrowmont a craft school in Gatlinburg by packing some Arts and Crafts kits for the flood victims in North Carolina!
That is it for today, we will be back at it next week! Until then this is Tina, for all!
