New Student and an Old Friend is Back!

Mary is our newest student but she is a little camera shy so I made sure she was happy with my photo. she is winding her first warp onto the table loom (Guess who else is here!). Phyllis is calmly weaving on placemats in "Ellen's Pattern".

Joycelyn is weaving yardage to be turned into garments and Liz #2 is threading the Macomber with her next project.

Susan is also weaving a project in "Ellen's Pattern" and she also brought a head band that she had bought at a fiber show!

Now it is time for Show and Tell! Judith wore a vest that she got years ago at a fiber festival, Carol felt like she recognized the work of the weaver, but she couldn't think of their name! Today some of the crew were putting on some of the new "Tuesday Weaver" lables in some of the finished towels.

Shannon is back after a couple of weeks away, she has been weaving at the Heritage Center in Townsend. She was weaving some placemats over the last couple of months and chatting to the public as you do, and she found as she was taking the finished placemats off of the loom that she had 7 placemats and a runner instead of the intended 8 placemats!

Shannon also brought in an end of the warp project. She had woven a blanket for her new grandaughter and after that piece was finished there was enough warp on the loom to weave some cloth. She chose a darker shade for the new piece and we were delighted with the beauty of the cloth and what a difference the choice of color can make in fabric.

Now for the big surprise, Dana is back! Well almost back, she is going to be back next week, but will be back for good after Valentines day!!!!! Yay, we are so happy to see her! While she was away she did a lot of weaving. One project was that she made towels out of a warp that her 12 year old son had dyed during one of the recent Dye Days! Dana also brought in her very first Overshot project, Mug Rugs woven out of 8/2!

Not to be outdone, Jenny is wearing a vest that is made out of her own handspun! Jenny also brought in a skein of Angora bunny/Merino yarn and a skein of Merino both of which she had handspun. Just Lovely!

Patty took on a commision for napkins and wound enough warp to make a second batch to sell in her booth. Mark brought in his latest placemats "Fall" in Ellen's Pattern and a scarf that he had made for his Daughter. He had miss measured and it came up a bit short! Judith suggested getting a scarf pin to keep the scarf in place! Brilliant!
