Farewell Carl

There are so many pictures....

So many memories.....

My friend.....

My mentor......

My travel companion to Norris each week.

We talked about weaving.

We discussed politics.

We discussed world events.

We shared stories about our families.

We made plans for what needed to be done next.

Carl joined the Center in 1994, and he wove so many things:  placemats, rugs, table runners and scarves.

He was an accomplished tapestry weaver, also.

This last year, when he transitioned to the wheelchair, it didn't stop him from weaving a set of placemats.

He always did his part....

When COVID hit in March, we all had to isolate.

That was the last time we were all together.

We would have celebrated your 95th birthday this December.......

Now, we'll celebrate your life.

Thank you for all the memories.......

Love,

LouAnn

I couldn't comment last night, my husband held me as I cried. Today I celebrate Carl's life. Though I never met him, he has inspired this 68 year old weaver to continue my learning process as a relatively new weaver, to stop feeling I am too old to be doing what I love. Thank you Carl. I will miss your smile and always picture you at the barn loom.
