Guess what I'm doing this morning??? I'm just sitting here with coffee and great conversation....watching my friend knit (without even looking!!!) and talking about our day of weaving. Can life be any better????
I got up this morning to a stray inkle loom at the back door...it was a mystery until Joyce came in....she had left it by the door when she came in last night. It will join the collection (herd? mob? pod? flock? jumble? what do you call a bunch of inkles???) in the living room.
Tina has everything all ready to go....several of the looms are already loaded with cards, and she made us booklets with the patterns we'll be working on today. This is going to be too much fun!
Dinner was so much fun last night....we had a TRUE potluck....no pre-planning. But, we had such a spread of different things! Tina brought goulash....Maggie roasted chickens....Marta fixed posole(with all the chile fixings)....Pat brought bread and macaroni salad....Joyce fixed fruit salad and Morman beans....and Carol, Ila, and Carl brought desserts. QUESTION: Who brought the yummy brownies?????
The best part was the GREAT company!!!! It was so much fun sitting around the table with good friends and great conversation. You would think that since we see each other once a week, that we wouldn't have that much to talk about....but it was very lively!!!!
Stay tuned to the blog for updates later today! There are a bunch of warped weavers headed this way!!!
Happy Weaving!

You all are having such fun! I wish I could be there. Maybe next time. I don't recognize one of the men.
I brought the brownies. My sister talked our sister in law into giving her the recipe!! It's really good, too.

Sooooo much fun! Linda, we will make sure you can be there next time! Thanks to LouAnn for being the hostess and to the lovely Joyce, our hard-working kitchen wench!
You guys have so much fun!! One of the members in my weaving group has been talking about a weaving retreat, and this blog post makes it seem like such a great idea.
I love how you gave the potluck description. (Could be because I'm making a grocery list and I'm hungry, so I totally have food on the brain!)
Have fun!
Sue
PS: Thanks so much for your opinion on my photos. It really helped me to figure out what pics to take to my photography group.
Looks and sounds like so much fun. I tried to make it but my family had other plans.
