It's Tuesday!!!!!

Welcome to our newest weaver, Marta. She comes to us from the Land of Enchantment, and a few other places. It seems we have several connections to that western state!

She chose a lively day to start weaving....there was a lot going on (as usual!!!!)

Tina is working on the rugs that we are restoring for one of our customers. These blue jean rugs are at least 20 years old, and they are still in great condition, except for the fringes. Last week, Carol brought her serger and fixed the edges. This week, Tina added a denim binding, and encased the edges. We have our fingers crossed that a #16 needle will do the trick. She may have to find a #18.

Tina carefully basted the binding in preparation for the sewing machine....no room for error!!!

Maggie has taken over the mixed-color warp placemats. The different shades of violet make a beautiful mat. She is going to do the next set with a mixed green weft.

Bonnie and Carl were in a DEEP discussion when I looked over. Those towels are going to be something else!!!

Lanny has finished one rug, and started on his second one. Having all that weft cut has really been worth it!

Linda is looking through the stash for yarns for a scarf warp. I can't wait to see what she finally decides on.

Ann has lost her place as the new weaver. Her selvages are looking nice & even....great job!

So much going on!!!!! We've got our own version of "fruit basket turn over" going on with looms...more about that in another post. With our space restrictions, each loom has to be productive.
A quick shout out to my niece, Kimberly Lang. Her book is #93 on the USA Today's Book List. Her Mom, Joyce, worked here at the Center last year.
Happy Weaving to all!

A super report on today! Everyone had something going on! It's great to have a new student. The excitement of seeing a warp go on straight, remembering how to hemstitch after a week off and even Wally, who today decided not to take a nap, it's all good!

I didn't want to post that Wally had to go to time-out. He's going through a growth spurt, I suspect!

Lots going on. And to think that about 7 people were not there. If we ever have everybody there at the same time------wow! A full house.

I think Wally will be taking some time off of his busy schedule. He will be resting at home for awhile while I get to go play!! Seriously, I think we need a break from each other,LOL! I know he will grow out of it, I am just not sure I will live thru it! It is good to see what everyone is doing, I only got the one hem done today! I hope to do more next week.

Thanks for the shout out. It still doesn't seem quite real. :-)
