Three, Two, One and Go!

As promised, we were one full Show prep mode this Tuesday! Patty and Dana were pulling items from the shop upstairs, Karin and I were entering the items in the Show 2026 inventory list, then into the tubs they went! Karin also uploaded the spreadsheets from her computer into Tuesday Weavers own computer! A little later on Pearl headed up her team of weavers to load the booth supplies into a couple of vehicles, not forgetting the tool box, zip ties, drill and mirror etc. We ended up with 3 tubs of inventory and 4 tubs of items from individual weavers. I didn't get pictures of it all but I will show you a few.
There was weaving of course but I got no pictures of that this week. So let's go straight to Show and Tell! Shannon and her Husband collaborated on a special Christmas card project! Shannon wove the fabric for the Christmas Trees and her Husband did some watercolor backgrounds! I believed Shannon said there were 25 cards.
Patty has begun to work with the antique kimono fabric she brought home from her recent trip to Japan. She has made a silk bag and several silk scarves.
Mark brought in a rug that he wove with yarn that he plied over the last month or so, with various different instruments from a thigh spindle to an electric spinner. Each section of the rug shows a different pattern according to how much twist was in the yarn!
That is it for today! There is a possiblility that the blog will take a three week break and will resume the end of November. Until then, this is Tina for all!
