Golden!

Karin and I were talking back and forth this week via text. I was telling her about my new spinning project where I was trying to recreate a 5ply sport wt yarn for a Gansey. She told me she was just reading about Ganseys this week! I told her I would bring in my spinning samples and all of the books I have collected. So far the breeds I have sampled are Polypay and Tunis. I have a couple more to sample before I make my decision.
Speaking of Karin, She is almost done entering all of our Library books to our online library so that our weavers will be able to check and see if we have a book to borrow!
There was a stack of items ready to sell on the table. Marie gets to enter them into the book, tag them and request inventory stickers for next week.
Susan #3 is making rugs from the Tshirts she cut out a couple of weeks ago!
It may because it has been cold this week but the golden color of Joycelynn's warp caught my eye and I had to include it in today's blog!
Jenny was in the process of threading these heddles earlier in the morning, but I suspect by the end of the day she was ready to sley the reed.
Guess what! It is time for Show and Tell! Jenny starts us off with a vest she recently finished! It is Alpaca and wool in their natural color and Jenny used an Italian bind off!
Rhonda dyed the roving to spin this skein of yarn and she chain plied it to maximise the colors!
Last year sometime Dana brought her son to one of the Dye Days and he had so much fun dyeing a warp in peacock colors! This year Dana sampled some weaving patterns while she was weaving some towels and chose one for that very special warp. She wove 2 shawls and a cowl and they are stunning!!!!
Well friends that is it for today, come back and see what we get into next week! Until then this is Tina, for all!
