Ready Set Go!

We had a great show this past weekend! I was heading home after we took the booth down and realized what a bad blogger I was! I didn't get a single picture of the booth even though I thought about it as I was working on Sunday!!! I hoped that someone had taken some pictures and wouldn't you know it, Mark came to the rescue once again! Here are a couple of pictures of the booth right after set up and a picture of the bowl cozy warp that was on the demonstration loom.
Sunday, while several of us were working the booth, we got the idea to do a bowl cozy warp using Christmas colors. I volunteered to wind the warp, and weave it off in time for us to have a bowl cozy assembly line next Tuesday. That meant that the warp had to be finished today so that Pat could take it home, serge the ends and wash it and hang it to dry so that it would be ready to cut and sew in time. (We have another show in Oak Ridge in 2 weeks!) So to get a head start I wound the warp on Monday and since my Husband is out of town, I went up to the Center and got the warp on the loom, through the heddles and reed and wove 1 bobbins worth of fabric.
This morning we had to unload the cars with inventory from the show and unload and organize the equipment for the booth. Also, Marie and Karin worked on getting a revised inventory from the items that came back from the show. While that was all going on, I notice several warps in progress in the studio. There are at least 3 mixed warps for wraps we are enjoying, Shirly is threading one Patty is working on one and Joycelyn is on a third. Weaving should begin on them in the coming weeks.
Liz is almost finished with her towel warp and Ruth was working on the lawn chair towels.
By the time lunch rolled around I had a nice roll of fabric on the cloth beam.
After lunch of course it is time for Show and Tell! Charlotte had 2 scarves she had woven at home and Mark had a scarf with a bit of bling in it for his daughter.
After lunch it was back to work on Christmas Bowl Cozy warp for me! At 2:15 I threw the last pick and was done! Pat was waiting for me to finish weaving and off she went home to get the fabric ready for next Tuesday.
Whew! That is all I have for you today! Until next week this is Tina, for all.
