It might be Olympic overload....I've watched more than my fair share of events this week. I really thought I would have finished my art yarn scarf earlier in the week, but I got a little side tracked by some other projects.
But, here is what I have so far.....the weft is cotton crinkle that I got on my last visit to R&M. The warp is threaded on 1 and 4, and the art yarn is threaded 2 and 3. I treadle 1-2, 4-2 for an inch or so, then I treadle 1-3, 4-3 to bring the other strand up for a bit. This is fun, fun, fun!!!!
I hope to get it off the loom by tomorrow! (Yes, that's my goal and I'm sticking to it!!!)
This brings me to WHY I haven't already finished the scarf:
Since the kids at Kid's Camp loved weaving so much, they wove off two of the three warps on the table looms at the Center. That's great! I'm glad they love weaving so much! But, that also means I have to put new warps on the looms for the class at the Center. I got the news on Tuesday that not only was the class full (4 students) but there were four people on the waiting list.......would I consider another class date???? Yes, we can do another one in September........
It was very busy at the Center on Tuesday, and I did get one loom almost warped, so I decided to warp little Smoky here at the house. And, while I was winding warps, I made two warps for Parker Pup. So, once the scarf is off, I'll warp him for the class next Saturday.
And, remember our Museum of Appalachia project? Yes, I'm still working on those heddles. This is actually the third harness that we found in the Loom House. I've secured the heddles in groups. They got washed and dried, and the wood bars were cleaned. I also dusted the reed with a soft brush....I don't want to get too crazy with those natural reeds. This one is in pretty good shape. It is 15 d.p.i., which means we'll sley 0-1-1 to get 10 e.p.i., which is what we decided to use for the rag rugs. That's another warp I need to wind.
And, last, but not least.....
Linda emailed me on Monday that she had found some display racks listed on Craig's List....did I want to go with her to look at them. Of course I did!
I got a great four arm display that we can use at Foothills in November....and I found this little darling I want to use for cowls, scarves and shawls! This is one of my cowls that I crocheted from my art yarn. It can sit on a table, or since it expands, it can stand on the floor, too.
So....this is how my week went....jumping from one thing to another! That's OK.....my days are never boring. And, I'm sure this will be a Super Saturday.....no....a Super Weekend!
Happy Weaving (and other fiber goodies!)

It sounds like you are having fun and keeping very busy! See you Tuesday.
I think you have enough on your plate to keep you busy for awhile.
I'm always amazed at your creative ideas.
