Today I got to do something I haven't gotten to do since May. I went to the state park where I volunteer one weekend a month. This is the Women On The Frontier weekend. It was so wonderful to see everyone again! We had a ladies tea! We got to try several different teas, cinnamon rolls and several small cakes (cookies). We had our tea in the dog trot between the gunsmith shop and the blacksmith forge. We can get some nice breezes through there sometimes.
Several of us wore our gowns, our good shoes and even some jewelery. We don't get to dress up very often because we normally demonstrate the daily life out in the wilderness of 1775. I had a wonderful time. Here are some pictures. These were taken by my DH just before the tea started. In case you are wondering which one is me I am wearing a floral gown and I am standing to the left of a woman in a yellow gown.

How cute! But weren't those outfits hot?
Oh, I do enjoy historical re-enactments! Early 1800? What a marvelous experience. Do you all stay in character, or do you interpret for the visitors? Your gown is lovely!!
I am so glad that you got to go to the tea. Sounds like fun. How hot you must have been even with a breeze.
Thank you, Roxie. Our year is 1775. Some of us stay in character but others feel they are not able to do it.
This is so interesting! Yesterday, I saw a reenactment of the revolutionary war and now, this. I like it! :)
You really are getting better! I am so glad for you!
