Dayle thought that her Rigid Heddle would be all she wanted, but after watching all other weavers, she decided to dip her toe into 4 shaft weaving. This will be her learning warp.
Phyllis caught the bug, too. Here she is winding the warp for her first project. They will weave some plain weave and four different twills. They will weave a table runner using their favorite structure at the end.
Karin is taking over the dyed warp. She's going to try out that bright pink for weft.
Candace is working on her second warp.
Donna and Judy are comparing notes.
Patty is helping Linda wind on her warp..it goes so much faster with a little help.
Shirley is threading the reed on her placemat warp.
A picture to behold: a whole row of weavers just doing what they do.
Barbara has been weaving rag placemats, but this ball of fabric needed to be split in half. So...have a seat and chat with Pat and you'll end up with two balls of weft!
Carol and Jayne were having a color theory lesson.
We had a generous donation of upholstery fabric, and Jayne wanted to make some pillows.
Candace and Donna kept weaving throughout all the chatter!
Pearl came in after lunch and got right to her loom. She's ready to weave!
Patty has been working on her inventory for upcoming shows. She brought her black and white towels for us to see. She also got two hot pads from the leftover fabric.
Betsy has finished her six bowl cozies for the challenge. Guess I'd better get busy!!!
Happy Weaving!
