Happy New Year!

Happy New year, everyone! I hope this new year finds you ready to take on the world!

The new year for me is a time to look at how my life is going and trying to figure out how I can make it run smoother.

I retired from my day job almost exactly 2 months ago. I have had for several years now the hope of weaving to bring in a little income, mostly to pay for itself.

So now that I am not working full time at the animal clinic, you would think that I would be getting so much weaving done. MMMMM not so much. Between trying to play catch up at home, 4 grandbabies, and the holidays, I have gotten very little done.

It is even spilling over into the landing! So the first thing on the agenda for the next year is to bring some peace to the studio.

I am going to start by separating all the spinning stuff. Boxes of fleece, drum carder, spindles and wheels, and put them in the guest room across the hall. All the knitting stuff will go there too, so I will be left with the weaving stuff to organize. New shelving, rearrange the floor plan to fit everything, and get rid of what just doesn't work.

Wish me luck on the new adventure. It won't get done in a day, especially with my little 4 legged helper. He is going to be about as much help with the organizing as he is with, sweeping and folding clothes.

I am thankful for many things today, thankful for my husband and family, thankful to have the opportunity to be working from home, thankful for that pesky pup that just loves to cuddle up and sleep with my muck boots!

Happy New year everyone! Happy weaving too! Tina

HaHaHaHa....I can just see Wally "helping" with the weaving "stuff." Is that like the cats helping me make twisted rope??? I have great faith in your ability to GET IT DONE!

It's going to be fun for you to figure out where to put everything so it functions best. I really like those metal shelves from Lowe's. They're strong and hold big rubbermaids full of yarn! Give Wally an extra hug!

Yikes! I think you should make some soup and invite some friends!

Wouldn't that be fun! I think I need all the stuff first, and the floor plan.
