Back To The Farm

That should say, "Back to the Museum."  Either way, I was back in the Loom House sitting on the cloth beam threading away as wave after wave of school kids stopped by to see what was going on.  I guess that's my excuse for missing that bout of threads in the center of the picture.  I had actually threaded further than this on the left when I realized that it was a photo opportunity!  It also gave me a good excuse to get out of the loom and stretch!
 

  After lunch, I finished up threading the loom.  Although the school group had left, there were still lots of visitors this afternoon.  And, before I knew it, it was time for me to leave.
  Next week I'll get the reed sleyed and I'll be ready to start weaving.

(That also means that I'll need to decide what fabrics I'll use for the that first rug!!!!)

  The ewes and lambs had wandered into the big area in front of the Loom House this afternoon as I was walking out.  A little afternoon nap seemed like just the ticket.  (That cedar tree is good for a little scratch, too.) 

  There's always one that still wants to play a little bit longer!!!!








  When I got home, I saw that the fringe tree had bloomed (weeping ash.)  I was so afraid the rain and strong winds we had earlier in the week would knock off the blooms.  And, I have a bunch of last minute things to get done before the weavers arrive on Saturday morning.  
  Guess that means I won't be weaving...........
