The Mad Looper Caper!

A small group of the Tuesday Weavers went on a fiber mission.  Lou Ann, Andy and Gary, Linda, Bonnie and I, piled into Gary's truck and hit the interstate.  We were on a mission to save fiber that was destined for who knows what end.

We drove several hours and made it to our destination in plenty of time.  We piled out and took a look around.  Our contact came out and showed Gary where to back up the Truck.

There they are!  Boxes and boxes of sock loopers!

We had lots of help!

Helpful peanut gallery, Linda is holding up the loopers.

There is a black one, there are also natural colored ones as well, we will have to dye up the naturals to have the bright colors we love.

All loaded up, and then it was time for lunch!

After we were full and happy, we took a side trip to R & M yarns to pick up some weaving and knitting supplies.  Then, the long road home, we dropped off 2 boxes with Linda and Bonnie, 3 boxes in Lou Ann's garage, (1 for Carol, 1 for the center, and 1 for Lou Ann and I to share), and 1 box went home with Andy and Gary.

I got home in time to feed the animals and make some dinner for us humans.  Tired and hungry, but full of ideas!  Just like we like it!

Until next time, Happy Weaving, Tina

What a treasure! And then, dye fun on top of it! Wheee! If I recall correctly, you chain the loopers together to make weft for rugs, right? What fiber content? Wish I didn't live so far away. I want to play too.
