A Sneak Peek!

I love to weave on the project at the Knoxville Museum of Art! I love looking at what has been woven before.....and I love thinking about what colors I will weave in the short hours I have put aside to be there. I even love walking about the room and seeing the colors that have been wound on the pirns waiting in the plastic boxes. You can glance at the cloth beam and see the edges of the cloth that is already wound....just hiding from your sight for now.

So, you can imagine my surprise when I left Carl to weave, went downstairs for a cup of coffee, and ran into Ann and Nick in the hallway! I asked Ann if she had had a chance to see the cloth that had been cut off, and she asked me if I wanted to see it. YES! YES! YES!

Ann rolled the cloth all the way down the table (which was only part of the roll) and we all got a chance to see the wonder of that length....and then she rolled back again for another view. The last foot or so of the cloth woven before that length was cut off was an amazing piece of work. I even found one of my bands woven back in February. They cut off 48 feet of cloth, and we still have a few weeks to weave on the loom before the project is over. I can't wait to hear how much we end up with total. I love the picture of Wendy, Nick, Chris and Ann giving the cloth a good look!

Carol arrived later to take over from Carl and I. Pat was due to arrive later. As always, we shared what we had been doing. Today, Carl and I were thinking about redbuds and dogwood blossoms. I think you can see that in our weaving.

Now, the rain has quit, and the sun is shining again. I AM going to weave this afternoon here at home! I am, I am, I am!!!!!

Happy Weaving!
LouAnn

LouAnn, you were at the right spot at the right time! So glad you got pictures of the roll. It's going to be amazing when it's all one long strip and on display!

OHMYGOD! That is something special. I can hardly wait to see the completed project all in one length.
And I sure can see dogwoods and redbuds in the current weaving!
