Purple warps

Last week I wasn't able to add the picture of the hedgehog that I'd started making. There still is alot of work left on him which won't happen til my shows are done, but here he is. The colors are pretty traditional for a real animal but you could make it in some funky colors instead!
I forgot to take a picture of the multi purple warp I wove. It's propped on Thelma while waiting for me to have time to serge all the raw edges. Thelma is waiting for me to have time to wind on the placemat warp that's going on her next. It'll probably have to wait til the next show is over too!!
I just now finished weaving this combination of 3 purples. I think it's going to be a nice series of clothing. Actually, there are 4 purples because the weft is another shade of purple to tie it all together! I do hope to get the sewing done on these warps this week yet.
The next couple of warps will be royal blue. I'm not sure how many warps I"ll be able to weave yet before the show 3rd weekend in October!
So, it was cool this morning, DD thought I should turn on the heat. I think she should find a sweater! With it cool it's kind of nice to get some bread baking. I have a good bit of flour I brought down from Canada so making some oatmeal bread hit the spot today. It smells great in the kitchen right now and the heat from the oven is warming up the room.
The recipe is from More with Less cookbook which I've had since 1977! It's my go to recipe. I make the loaves fairly small since there are only 3 of us and we don't eat alot of bread. This way they don't last too long!
So this week means more weaving, sewing and handwork. Hopefully I'll get what needs to be done finished and ready for the show.
Until next week,
Carol

Beautiful colors! I can smell the bread from here. Fall makes me want to bake bread too, I just haven't gotten around to it!

Yes, bread is smelling good in my kitchen also. The purple colors are pulling together nicely. I love it. That will be a nice collection.
