Beehive of Activity

You wouldn't believe all the stuff going on at the Center today!!!

Linda and Tina were giving spinning lessons.
Ms. Trudy was winding a new warp.

And, say HELLO to our newest weaver, Beatrice!  Carol got her started by choosing her colors for her first warp.  The next step is to wind the warp at the board.  By the time she was ready to leave, the warp was on the table loom and ready to start threading.  She took the loom home with her, and next week she can sley the reed and start weaving!!!!

Maggie got two placemats woven today, and Andy was hard at work on her warp, too.

(It was decided that we should take a poll about who likes/hates to hemstitch....Maggie said she's good with it since she did that warp of mug rugs last year!!!!)

Allan has done a fair amount of hemstitching since he started his placemat warp.  He was hard at work today, too.

Ms. Ila finished her scarf warp.  There were three scarves on the cloth beam.

You can't see Ann, but she was busy with her runner on the rug warp, and joining more strips of fabric for the weft.

LaDonna had the triangle loom set up and she was busy on the newest shawl.

And, I finished up the tote I had already started, and wove the header on the new one.....I may change the weft color for the next one.

We will be at the Foothills Fall Festival in Maryville this Saturday sharing Straw Loom weaving with everyone.  If you're out and about, come by our booth and say HI!!!
  In the meantime:
Happy Weaving!
