Just Gettin' It Done!

Yes sireee.....more fabric to make into weft for placemats and rugs!  This is not unusual at all...we often come in on Tuesday mornings and find gifts on the table.  Someone has been cleaning out their stash and they donate it to the Weavers.  And, we LOVE it!!!  Thank you!

This morning there was something else special going on at the Center--Kids CLAY Camp!!!

These were really happy kids working on their projects at the table.

And just look at this face!!!!
She was getting to try her hands at the pottery wheel!  Now, that's one happy camper!!!!

And here's another happy camper!!!!
Bonnie was back at her loom today!!!  She got the header woven for her large tote, and found some great multi-dyed weft to use.  I can't wait to see how it's going to look!

Ann was busy on the warping mill winding a new warp for the rocker loom.  She's mastering warping with several threads at once.
  You go, girl!!!!

Ms. Bonnie, Ms. Ila and Ms. Trudy were hard at work on their looms today.  Ms. Ila actually used up her bobbins of weft that she had wound for today!

Carl and Pat just weave and weave!!!  (Of course, once Carl gets back on that barn loom, it's a little tricky to get out!!!!)

Carol brought her "weaving sticks" in to share today.  She found them at Mid-West.  These are a really nice version of the straw loom!!!!

A big thanks goes out to Stacie Florer!  She has been working on the website for the Center.  Check it out at:

I cut 3 scarves off my warp, and will take pictures after the fringes are twisted....so stay tuned for next week!!!

Lots going on at the Center!!!
Happy Weaving!

It was a fun day to get back to the loom even if that warp is being contrary.

Oh that girl on the pottery wheel is just toooo cute!

How nice that you can see other arts going on at your center, besides all the weaving you folks get done!

It is good to see Bonnie back at the loom! You all are as busy as ever. Sorry I had to miss again today, we had lunch with a friend we went to language school 20 years ago. She said we hadn't changed a bit!

Wow, you guys have been busy there. I'm just catching up and there has been a whole lot of weaving and travel going on. All of it wonderful and makes me wish I lived MUCH closer.
