A Little Rusty!

I have a small pile of items that need to be "finished".   3 Baby Blankets, 12 Linen towels and about 8 cotton towels.  I probably won't get to them today, and they are being very good about it, just waiting patiently for me.
I started weaving Wednesday on an order for a Baby Blanket in the "Kings Flower" pattern in Old Rose.  It had been several weeks since I last wove this pattern, so I was a bit rusty.  I grabbed the sample I had near by and began to weave straight from that.

(This is the first time I have used one of my pre-rinsed skeins)
But it just wasn't looking right to me, so I opened up the sample and realized that I had started on the wrong pattern.  When I wove the sample I had quickly realized that I liked the pattern on the left of the picture and not the one on the right. It is more rounder!

I might have taken the time to cut out my mistake, but I learned last week, that it is quicker to just start a new blanket and leave the mistake there as a sample.  Maybe I can do pincushions or something small out of it.

We have company coming over tomorrow, so house cleaning wins today!  Have a great Friday!

Until next time, Happy Weaving, Tina
