I swear that I have been weaving this week!!!!
You just wouldn't know it by my post this morning!
It hit me last night that I needed to get my pictures ready to blog, and lo' and behold....there weren't any!
So, I took this picture of the Big Orange mug rug that I'm getting ready to hemstitch. That's what I've been weaving on this week....trying to get this warp off of Parker Pup. I maybe have enough warp to do two more mug rugs, and that should be about it.
OK...I wove mug rugs, and I'm weaving off the cotton flake warp on Annee. I've also been playing on the Weave Design program. I've got some ideas bouncing around in my head, and I did a couple of drawdowns for those.
I've worked outside....it's been REALLY hot here this week. In fact, this is the first morning when the temps were in the 60's. It's going up pretty fast, though! But, for a little bit, the kitties and I are enjoying the morning air. The chipmunks and birds are providing lots of entertainment!
Because of the heat (and no rain) I've been out every morning watering my tomatoes. I have baby cherry tomatoes that are already making my mouth water!!! The grape tomatoes are blooming, and the "sandwich" tomatoes have babies on them, also. I LOVE homegrown tomatoes!!!!
Last night, Maggie and I went to First Friday in downtown Knoxville. This is the first time I have been back since I fell in November. I'm thinking I should put a sign at that horrible place in the sidewalk that caused me to fall!!!! It's still there....just waiting for someone else to be walking by, talking with a friend, and trip them up!!!! But, I proved that I COULD walk and chew gum at the same time! My son had some pieces at the gallery along with some other visiting U.T. faculty. I was pleasantly surprised to see a piece he was just working on here Sunday. We had dinner at the Bistro at the Bijou, which was super good! It cooled off nicely after the sun went down!
Hopefully by next Saturday, I'll have two new warps to show you....the thread is waiting by the warping mill for me to wind them. It will be nice to have new projects to work on.
Stay cool....and Happy Weaving!

Ok, I am jealous. All the weaving everybody is getting done. I can't get downstairs to my looms. I am suppose to stay off my feet for 3 more weeks. The mug rugs are nice. Glad that you got to go downtown last night. Sounds like fun.
Bonnie, you need one of the table looms!!!! We could bring it on Tuesday!
Lou Ann, I can't wait for the maters to be ready either!
