"Crunch Time"

Yes, it is crunch time here at Farmstead Studio!  It has been a terrible year in the weaving part of the studio, with problem warps and little time to weave.  I have finished what I could and come to terms with the disasters, and decided it was time to move on.

I pulled out the zipper pulls I have been saving, and brought out the jewelry making tackle boxes, and I  have managed to make 20 pairs of zipper pull earrings.

I have also made several pieces from the Kumihimo bands I did a few months ago, they have actually come out well, to my surprise.

The rest of my inventory is tagged and in the suitcase, with this last lot heading that way later today.  I don't know if I will be able to get anything else done, but if I do it will be a quick matter to add them to the list.

This afternoon it is time to look at the costumes I will be wearing during the 4 days of spinning demonstration.  It is nice to have everything ready, and to not have to wear the same thing day after day.

Tuesday, when the Tuesday Weavers congregate, we will pull inventory that is usually sold in the shop upstairs at the Appalachian Arts Crafts Center, and be ready to set everything up across the street at the Museum of Appalachia, on Wednesday.     Wish us luck, and good weather, it rained all 4 days last year, and it was really muddy all around , though it didn't stop the public from coming for good music, food and a general good time.

Until next time, Happy Crafting, Tina

I am not surprised with all you are doing that you don't have time to weave. Love those zipper earrings and bracelets. Good luck.
