Teamwork

We have had a day of different kinds of teamwork. From moving heddles while threading was in progress to rolling up a run of rugs that Judith had on the Studio loom, in fact lets start with Judith and the Studio loom. The cloth beam was definitely full and Judith was trying her best to get the last rug finished when Pop! One of the cords that is part of the Jack system broke. Patty and Rhonda and I got the cord replaced and Judith was able to finish the last rug!
It wasn't long before I was called over to snap a picture of Judith removing the rugs. As the bundle of rugs grew, Betsy stepped in to help hold the weight.
Once Judith had finished getting the rugs off of the loom she stepped over to help Mark get his warp wound on to his loom!
Our newest student Karen has wound her first warp and Dana helped her start the process of dressing the loom. I love her color choices!
Shannon was having trouble with a fine warp that was having too much fun bunching together while Patty and Pearl tried to tame it from the front of the loom!
Angie is almost finished threading the heddles for this project.
Kris has wound her warp onto the backbeam (Susan #2 helped) and is ready to thread next week.
Hey, it is time for Show and Tell! Liz finished her shawl warp and got the fringes done over this last week. She put it on to show how the hand dyed warp wrapped around her and continued through the fringe.
Rhonda took a placemat that she was not happy with and made it into a drawstring purse!
Alice has finished a couple of pairs of Shoe strings and Dana found the cutest way to display them! Laura, Kris, Susan (who were winding Kris'warp onto the backbeam) and Betsy looked on with joy!
Last week Laura was looking throught the Janet Meany rug book during Show and Tell, and all of a sudden she exclaimed "Thats my Mom's pattern!" Evidently Laura had been looking for a long time for the only threading pattern that her Mom used for rugs for years, and there it was in plain sight!
That is all for today, join us next week to see what we get into next! Until then this is Tina, for all
