Did I do That!

We only get 4 hours each week in the Weaving Studio so a long warp can take a long time to complete, and yet we know that if we persevere we know we will see the last towel/placemat/rug etc. Cathy has spent a lot of time weaving on her colorful towel warp, and I noticed today that she was getting really close to finishing the warp!
Liz S is on the last placemat on her Rep Weave place mats and runner.
Betsy has finished threading her new warp, this will be some fabric with hand dyed bamboo. Betsy was sleying the reed this afternoon.
Kris is making good progress on her towel warp, and Phyllis was back with us today working on her warp as well!
Laura has changed the weft she is using on her placemat and runner project.
Before you know it Cathy was ready to cut off her towel project! I know she is thrilled!
It is time for Show and Tell! We have Linda today with a mug rug project to celebrate our local University football team. Linda warped for a dozen and ended up with 14!
Angie is working on that yummy dark orange crammed and spaced warp for towels. Angie decided to cut the first one off and take it home to see if it was working, cause you know the fun happens when you wash it! We were all really happy with the results!
That is all I have for you today, there was all sorts of other things going on in the studio as well, like inventory management, checking the roster of desk workers for the Fall show that will be here before we know it and also talking about training some of the younger weavers (under 70) to fill in, as needed in some of the nuts and bolts jobs that hold the Tuesday Weavers together. Come back next week and see what else we get into! Until then this is Tina, for all!
