And Now They All Want One!
Elaine has finished the project on her loom and will be ready to wind a new warp next week. She and Erin also brought in a new and improved version of our beloved tractor seat.
Mark is weaving with a new fabric weft that has color stripes, he is alternating with a thin yarn and just look at what that makes! Oh and Pat is back on the barn frame loom today, we sure have missed her!
Patty is weaving this colorful warp with light grey yarn together with a very sparkly yarn, you will have to make the picture bigger to see it though. On the kitchen counter Shannon is bagging up some news Stick loom kits, and on the table is the inventory that was picked up from Cliff Dwellers this week.
It is time once more, for Show and Tell! Linda brought in a scarf that she wove using the Bumble pattern, and Joycelyn brought in her scrumptious towels that she took off of the loom last week. I think she said that the pattern repeat was 49 picks!
Patty once again wowed us with another top, this time it is a plainweave boxy shawl, and we were so happy to see Peggy today, she brought in several scarves she had made over the last couple of weeks.
I brought in a couple of really old magazines LouAnn and I found one day when we were looking at junk shops, and finally Mark brought in a couple of Sister rugs that he has recently finished. He calls them that because he made one for one of his Sisters and now that all want one!
Until next week this is Tina, For all!

Colors on all the looms
I was looking around at the looms today during lunch when the weavers are taking a break and I noticed how much color is in the room!
Roz and her granddaughter Brooke are working their way through the curriculum. I love the eggplant weft that is meeting the lime warp for the first time Roz!
Shirley is threading that yummy warp, Susan is looking up hemstitching to refresh her memory and Linda is making great progress on her warp. Marilyn is photo bombing in a couple of these, but I didn't get a picture of her warp today.
Betsy is getting her warp on the loom today. This has proved to be a sticky 8/2 warp and it took Marie and Patty to help the project along! By the end of the day it was all on the back beam! While all of this was going on this morning, the final three warps from dye day were getting rinsed some more! Today it was Kris and Karin to the rinsing party! Thought I didn't get their pictures, sorry girls!
Now for Show and Tell! Shannon warned us that if we want to get a new pin loom from the original maker we need to act fast because they are going out of business. Linda made some really pretty "Cocktail Coasters" that she saw in Handwoven recently, and Patty has brought in a new twisty shawl, this time she used double thread in the warp and a wool single as the weft.
That is it for today friends, next week we will be up to more colorful fun! Until then this is Tina, for all!

June Dye Day Photos!
Last Thursday and Friday, Carol hosted a Dye Day at the Weaving Center. From the photos I can tell that Mark, Judith, Phyllis and Patty were there. If there were others Carol will let me know and I will add their names. The Tuesday before that they made sure that all of the warps and skeins were pre washed so that they were ready to go into the mordent first thing. Then they let the colors fly!
The warps were then wrapped and waiting until this morning when the rinsing and spinning out the excess dye happened. Susan and Kris did a lot of that this morning and I think that Karin helped this afternoon.
While all the rinsing was happening I saw a warp that Shirley was putting on her loom. It was a warp that Carol had wound. Then Joycelyn cut her towel warp off of her loom!
Now for Show and Tell! Charlotte was here today and she showed off some napkins and placemats she wove at home. Charlotte has a natural gift for color and texture and she uses all of our loom waste to make beautiful things. Patty brought in a lovely wrap that reminded us of a butterfly, you can be sure there were several of us that asked for the specific measurements so that we can try it on our own!
That is all for today, until next week this is Tina, for all
