Aftermath!
What a whirlind of a weekend Karin and I had Thursday and Friday at the Museum of Appalachia from 8-3 and the others crew had set up for the show on Thursday and then Friday through Sunday for the Foothills Fall Festival. On Sunday Karin and I with Jenny and Marie worked the booth and were on hand for booth take down. Pearl and Mark came to help take down the booth and load up all of the stuff into vans. Carol made it to the Show every day and really enjoyed catching up with her show friends. Mark took some good pictures for me on Thursday after everything was in place.
The show closed at 4 on Sunday and by 5 we were on our way home! We have it down to a science! Today at the Center we were in put everything away mode! Once the booth supplies were put away, Mark's van was unloaded and the Tuesday Weaver's inventory needed to be checked in to make sure everything that didn't sell was there and the individual weavers looked over their tubs to make sure everything that was there that should be as well. Once that was done it was time to put the Tuesday Weaver's items back up in the shop. Whew! We are glad that is done! Here is Marie's car before and after.
Soon after everything was back in place, Susan #3 let me know that her warp was ready to come off of the loom!
Liz #2 wound a warp with much thicker yarn that her usual and as we were doing the math for the warp she was surprised that she only needed far fewer ends that she usually uses!
We had a surprise visitor today! JP came by for a visit! It was so good to see him!!!
Cathy is weaving a towel warp and it is beautiful! I had admired the warp stripes but the pattern is really striking!
Liz #1 is working on a shawl warp and we can begin to see how the warp and weft will interact!
Here is the close-up
We were all so busy getting ready for the show that there isn't any Show and Tell today! I bet we will have something to share with everyone next week. Until then this is Tina, for all!
