More Visitors and After Hours Escapades!

Carol was back this Tuesday! She even brought her Sister and Niece who were visiting to say hey!
Through the morning I took pictures of her making the rounds.
Pat brought in her new pup "Dolly" for a visit too!
Hey! It is already time for "Show and Tell"! Shannon found a felting kit last weekend, it is a mouse with a flute! She said that it came with everything she needed to do the project. I think I heard Pearl say that she bet it didn't have bandaids in it!
Betsy finished the towel warp she took off last week, they turned out really nice even though a couple of them turned out to be napkins instead of towels!
Irene brought in 3 bags that she recently made with her weft faces weaving.
Alice has a new weaving hobby! Marilyn taught her how to weave on an inkle loom and she had jumped in with both feet! Just look at those selvedges!
Mark took a bunch of placemats off of his loom last week and he brought them back today ready to sell!
This is when I usually sign off, but wait there is more!!! Last Tuesday, I heard about a barn frame loom that needed a home. I took a look at the pictures and thought that it was worth looking into. I already had one at my house that belongs to the Tuesday Weavers, but it has a few issues that this new loom did not. Marie, Patty and I talked about it and we decided to put it on Facebook and I have to tell you that the loom was out of my house in less than 24 hours. I contacted the owner of the "new" loom and we set up a date to pick the loom up on Saturday. Marie, Patty and Karin responded to the call for an adventure and we made it to the storage place and we were able to fit the loom in only two vehicles, my van and Maries big car. I only had a few hours window and it was raining so we decided to leave the loom in the our cars and that I would unload my car at home then on Tuesday I would get everything out of Marie's car. After lunch on Tuesday several able bodied weavers helped make the transfer. From left to right there is, Marie, Karin playing peekaboo,Patty in front, Liz #1 and Mark! Thank you all so much!!!!
The rigid heddle class that happens on Tuesday Evening had 3 projects off of the loom. Liz, a belt of gratitude, Curtis, a color block gold scarf and Teresa a scarf too!
Now, back to the loom! Karin and Patty came over this morning to help me put it together. I had a few pictures and some of the pieces were marked. So I spent the last couple of days going over the pictures to figure out which pieces went where. Karin and I waxed the wood tenons while Patty was on her way, then once Patty was with us we set to work putting the puzzle together. There is only one piece that needs a repair, but other than that it is ready to go! This loom does have an upgrade, it has a set of lamms someone at some time added, and I think it is marvelous! I will show those first then a few shots of Patty and I putting some pegs in. Karin is behind the camera!
I still have to hang the shafts and get that part fixed, but we are well on our way! Thank you Patty and Karin and Marie for helping me pick up the loom and put it together!!! Okay, now I can sign off. Until next time this is Tina, for all!
