We are Back!

Between sickness and weather I haven't been ablt to make it to the Studio for weeks! Today, I was determined to come no matter how cold it was! It wasn't long before I was in the thick of things with Liz #2 and Marilyn. They are getting a new warp on the Macomber for Liz #2. I went over to be a third set of hands and before you know it we were laughing and talking while the warp was wound onto the back beam.
Shirley was at her loom today, and on the table near Carol I saw Shirleys last project all washed hemmed and pressed! Patty wasn't there yet but I got a picture of her newest project. When she got there she told me that it was a project in "Turned Taquet", there hasn't been anything like it in the Studio, it will be fun to see it progress!
Linda is on the job, she is weaving yardage for our line of Twisty or Boxy Poncho Thingies, and around on the other side of the room Judith is weaving a colorful rug.
One of our signature patterns is what we call "Ellen's Pattern", it is a Crammed and Spaced pattern. There is one particular thing about this pattern that you have to watch out for and that is when you have woven several placemats or runners the spaced out sections get too slack to carry on weaving. Rhonda ran into that problem today and we decided that it was time to cut off what she had woven and tie the warp back on.
It is already time for Show and Tell! Roxy has been playing at home and she brought in some towels that she had woven.
Mark brought in some of the placemats that he had finished on his loom here at the Studio (Ellens Pattern) He also brought in some placemats that he had woven at home including the end of the warp piece that we decided could be folded over to make a hot pad!
Just like that we are at the end of day and weavers are packing up their stuff, putting on their coats and heading home. I sure missed the fellowship and laughter while I was gone! It is good to be amonge friends! Until next week this is Tina for all!
