Full House!
We were full to bursting this week in the Weaving Studio that is at the Appalachian Arts Craft Center, located in Norris, TN. Every Tuesday we have a busness meeting after lunch, so I thought I would insert here a few pictures of the crew today.
As soon as I got to the weaving studio, I saw Phyllis and Shirely hard at work getting this lovely warp on Shirley's loom!
Irene is working on some bags using a boundweave technique. She loves that you can do so many things with the same threading! Patty is weaving some fabric with a colorful warp and a nubbly weft.
Judith and Mark are back with us this week and working on their respective projects and Barbara is continuing her work on fabric for soup cozies.
Betsy is weaving on her fabric to use as a gift wrap around a bottle of your favorite bubbly, and Karin is cutting off the last scarf from this hand dyed warp.
Time for Show and Tell! Pat was back with us today and while she was at home recovering she did a lot of weaving! She wove a couple of runners and placemats and then she wove lots of green fabric! Some of it she is donating to the weaving center to be used in different craft projects.
Patty has been weaving rugs with the most wonderful corespun Alpaca! One of the rugs was made from manufaturing waste in the form of selvedges.
Karin and Mark wrap it up for Show and Tell this week. Karin handspun and wove a shawl for the Musem of Appalachia and Mark brought in the placemats that he had cut off of his loom a couple of weeks ago.
That is it for this week folks, until next time this is Tina, for all

Everything looks so happy and productive. Ya'll are okay after Helene? We were without power for 3 days and I was so glad that my weaving doesn't require electricity. :)
Tina here, our crew was very luck to not have much damage. There are a couple of us that live more northeast in the state and they came through as well, but saw a lot of damage in their area.
