Until we Meet Again!

Last evening we said goodbye to our Weaving teacher of 24 years, Carol. We were thrilled that her sister and niece were able to come back down from Canada and that we got to see them once more. It was a sweet send off with wonderful thoughts given by Carol' Daughter and Sister. Carol's Husband played the fiddle in a duet with a guitar in a sweet melody of the southern highlands, it was a moving moment. We got to see once again the collage picture that we had given Carol on her 20th year anniversary as head of the weaving department. There are many old friends in those pictures that have also gone on ahead.
The Tuesday Weavers were out in force with 26 showing up in items that Carol had made in her long career at the loom. I looked and I thought that there were no two alike, but we spotted 2 pieces that must have come from the same warp, or very similar ones.
The world does not stop just because we miss someone special. Next Tuesday we will be pulling inventory for the Foothills Guild Fall Craft Show. In our booth at the show we have asked if we could borrow Carol's special chair, it is a directors chair that she has used in her booth for years. We will have a picture of Carol at the show 2 years ago, it will have a wide mat border around it and special pens for well wishers to sign Carol's picture for us. This will be framed and hung in the Center Studio and when the new building is finally built it will dedicated to Carol Pritcher who did so much to build the weaving department into a community. It is not goodbye, it is until we see you again! Until next week, this is Tina, for all
